This site is a lasting tribute to an outstanding man my great grandad
John Henry Moore, he was born in wood st tipton in 1896 where his dad ran the local public house, he joined the royal marines in1912 he was based at chatham docks kent, he was a truly amazing man he served with the exhibitionary forces in france and belgium and was in gallippi too.
He also served with the raf during the second world war using barrage balloons, he didnt have a moments rest in him i dont think.
My great grandad once went to Australia as he was going to go there and take his family to set up home and he went to see what it was like on his return he ran out of money and had to make his way back onboard the ship so he had to work to pay for his journey probably shoveling coal.!!
He also worked for the general electrical company as a enginner but was more than an engineer i think as from his photos he looks a bit higher up the chain, i made this tribute because so may men like my grandad will be forgotten over time and if god made men like him today the world would be a better place. so grandad i hope that i have placed you amongst the best and send you all my love always xxxxxAN AMAZING MAN XXXXXXXX

If there were more people like you there
wouldnt be as much disorder in todays world
what a privalidge to have such an outstanding man
to be part of my past. I have served in the green jackets now the Rifles and was once a bit of a tear away, the army leart me how to look after myself and made me stronger person. You will always without a doubt hold a speciel place within me.

We would like to thank you for all your Candles,Pics ,tributes on our Angels sites and keeping there pages going while we have been unable to come on it is very much apprieciated.We lost my Brother in-law 2 weeks ago he was only 43 and it was very unexpected he had only been married 7 months it was such a shock,his wife found him in bed when she came home from work so we have had a lot going on.We had only lost another Brother in law the week before. Then on Tuesday the day of his funeral Aimee had a bad fall on the way and has been in hospital she is home know and hopefully we will be back to lighting candles next week, but all your angels have never left our thoughts and once again our thanks for all your support all our love to our lovely g.t.s.
